These guys are my color guard idols. I loved their performance so much when seeing it on Youtube, and then I learned that they were performing at the same competition I was so I HAD to see them in person. I sound like a crazy fan girl. They also had an amazing save here. Congrats everyone in the guard, you were simply crazy and great. 7-12 year olds in Ishigaki Elementary School Marching Band prelim show in 1999. This show was about 90 days out from the Japanese Nationals. I’m trying to find and post that show. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
Where: Atlanta, Georgia on the steps of CNN. When: July 4, 2004 after the Independence Day Parade. Bands: The Baltimore Marching Revels Community Marching Band & the Atlanta Metro Band Camp Band. Background: About 2 or 3 years ago I went to see the 4th of July parade in Atlanta. After the parade, I walked over to CNN. Outside CNN were two marching bands having an impromptu performance. Fortunately, I was right in the middle. I have had no prior band experience and never have been to competitions. I enjoy watching bands in person and on film. I don’t think that most of the general public, including myself, can comprehend the amount of time that goes into the performances and being a band member. I know that teamwork and direction are the keys. It is amazing to see how each band has its own personality. I appreciate these bands for participating in the parade and I enjoyed their performance. My camera doesn’t have the best sound, so I hope the video does justice to the marching band’s performance. Please keep that in mind. Thanks: These bands were having the time of their lives. The crowd really enjoyed. These kids deserve much credit for performing for two hours in the hot summer sun. I could not do it. It is all about having fun and that is what happened. Anyway, keep up the great work guys! I hope this is good exposure for your marching bands. Check out my page on My Space at url: www.myspace.com
